Century Media Records signs Evocation

Friday, January 13, 2012 10:50 AM PT

Century Media Records has Swedish death metal band Evocation to a worldwide record deal. The band will soon enter the studio to record a new album, tentatively slated for a fall 2012 release.

Philipp Schulte, A&R Century Media Records Europe, states: "We are very happy to add Evocation to the Century Media roster. Century Media's roots are and will always be in the death metal scene. Death metal built up the label's base and reputation and has been our back bone ever since. With Evocation we are solidifying the base even further. Evocation have proven to be able to deliver outstandingly good material and we therefore are very much looking forward to the release of the new album. Welcome on board!"

I like evocation but I agree with this:

Century Media's roots are in shitty melodic European metal and shitty American nu-metal, not death metal
