Weedeater to enter studio this month

North Carolina's Weedeater will head to Chicago this month to record a new album for Southern Lord Records. Tracking will take place with famed engineer/producer Steve Albini (Nirvana, Helmet) and according to the group, "We're fucking elated." Tentative song titles for the new release include "The Claw of the Sloth", and "The Darkening...ening...ening."

In related news, the band will play a handful of shows surrounding the recording sessions. Dates include:

1/24 Charlotte, NC @ The Milestone w/ 2012 Wolves, The Asound
1/25 Nashville, TN @ The Muse
