Official press release:
UK six-piece
Devil Sold His Soul recently signed a worldwide deal with
Century Media Records. The yet untitled album is being completed by the band right now, and will be released within the first half of 2010. Watch out for more news on the album soon.
Devil Sold His Soul will be touring across Europe in November and playing a special one off show in London on December the 10th, at the Upstairs of the Relentless Garage, as a way of both celebrating the completion of their album, but also the inking the deal with Century Media Records. Look out for more UK and European support tours throughout the start of 2010, as well as a headline tour March/April 2010.
Formed from the final embers of the much loved and hugely influential
Mahomudo, in 2006 Devil Sold His Soul released their debut mini album "Darkness Prevails" that was produced by
Mark Williams (Oceansize, Fightstar) through
Visible Noise (Lostprophets, Bring Me The Horizon). Soon after though, Devil Sold His Soul decided to do things completely their own way. This meant not just self-produce and self-record their debut album "A Fragile Hope," but also set up
Black Willow Records to self-release it. Hitting shops in late 2007, the album became a true underground classic and received almost unanimous praise from the press. It opened up many doors for the band and has led to their finding a new home at Century Media Records.
The band already toured across the UK and Europe as headliner a number of times, but also supported and played shows with the likes of Genghis Tron, Gallows, Bring me the Horizon, Red Sparowes, Skindred, Architechts, Cult of Luna and many more. They also played shows for Rock Sound and Kerrang magazines, including headlining the Koko venue in London for Klub Kerrang in 2008, and played festivals like Download, T in the Park, Slam Dunk and this year headlined the Thrash Hits stage at Offset.

Sounds like this runs through. Why is Europe just not dropping bands with a sound that was big 6 years ago?

If your band was any good at all you wouldn't have to storm websites and messageboards every day begging people to listen to you.

Damn, this is good shit. Will buy.

Every label seems to really like Visible Noise bands they all get bigger record deals in the States. The bands have been quite successful.

More bands are mixing screamo influence with sludge now. I'm into it.

This band kicks ass. "A Fragile Hope" was one of my favorite releases from 2008. This is great news.
