Throwdown studio update

Thursday, March 22, 2007 4:30 PM PT / 6,094 views
Throwdown has been in the studio for nearly a month tracking their new album, "Venom & Tears." Drums and bass have been completed thus far, while guitars are currently being finalized. Here's the official word from bassist Matt Mentley: "It has been a very challenging album to record, but it's also been a lot of fun. Stuff is sounding sweet. I don't think I am gonna say much more about the way it sounds. Everyone always says it's the fastest, heaviest, most brutal thing they have ever done, but I am just gonna say that it's sweet. When it gets put all over the Internet you can download it and decide for yourself what it sounds like." The effort is being produced by Mudrock (Avenged Sevenfold) and will hit stores this summer via Trustkill Records.
