Obituary is expected to enter the studio in March to begin recording their next album. Singer John Tardy has issued the following update: "We are still working on the new CD and are getting really excited about these new songs. This is some pretty sick shit! I still do not know what we are going to do about a record label. We are still talking with a few labels and trying to work something out! Meanwhile, the group has lined up the following shows: 3/24 Hollywood, CA @ Los Angeles Murder Fest 4/7 Chaulnes, France @ Killer Festival 4/8 Antwerpen, Belgium @ No Mercy Festival 4/9 Tilburg, Holland @ No Mercy Festival 5/3 Monterrey, Mexico @ Ibex bar 5/4 Torreon, Mexico @ TBA 5/5 Mexico City, Mexico @ Circo Volador 5/6 Mexico @ TBA 5/16 Sydney, Australia @ Manning Bar 5/17 Melbourne, Australia @ The Prince 5/18 Brisbane, Australia @ Club Phoenix

I didn't really care for most of their newer material (Back From The Dead on), but the song "Threatening Skies" owns.
