Chicago band Sweet Cobra will release their second full-length this spring via Hawthorne Street Records. Titled "Forever," the eight-song effort was recorded by Greg Norman (Pelican) at Electrical Audio Studios and mixed by Sanford Parker (Minsk) at Volume Studios, also in Chicago. Meanwhile, more information has been released regarding Sweet Cobra's late-January van crash (original story here): "Sweet Cobra were involved in a van crash after a show at The Beat Kitchen in Chicago a few weeks ago. The brakes on their van went out causing them to rear end a Jeep and hit two other parked cars. The driver of the Jeep was taken to the ER in an ambulance, but is ok. Two vehicles were totaled The insurance had expired so the band is left holding a very large debt for the vehicles and medical bills. There are a series of benefits in the works - the first of which is with Pelican and Minsk on Sunday March 4th at Subterranean in Chicago.
