German black metal band Sonic Reign has officially signed with Metal Blade Records. Originally formed in 1997, the group has previously released an MCD with Supreme Chaos Records and Sovereignty Productions. Here's a statement from the band:
"Metal Blade Records is a very strong label and we hope and believe that Sonic Reign as well as the label will benefit from this collaboration. We want to reach something with this band and we feel that the best way to achieve this goal is to hand the business issues over to professionals that understand and support our musical vision. Without a doubt Metal Blade fullfill this condition."
Meanwhile, Metal Blade Europe spokesman Andreas Reissnauer had the following to say:
"Their songwriting is over the top, their technical abilities of international standards! Sonic Reign is able to create a dark, eerie atmosphere and their songs have a groovy, crushing edge."
The group's latest full-length, "Raw Dark Pure," will be re-released by Metal Blade on April 5, 2007 in Europe. An American release date will be announced shortly.

They should collaborate with Shaq Diesel for "You Can't Stop The Reign (Remix)" since Shaq is out for half the NBA season.
