Dillinger Escape Plan update

Friday, October 6, 2006 12:34 PM PT

Dillinger Escape Plan are apparently hard at work on their follow-up to 2004's Miss Machine. The band have been holed up in various locations "including an underground lair and a house with an interior that resembles the one from fight club" writing the album and reportedly intend to release it sometime before 2009.

In the meantime, guitarist Ben Weinman and drummer Chris Pennie will be playing "pre-arranged weirdness and improv" at The Stone, a club operated by avant-garde jazz legend John Zorn, in New York City on October 20th. Pennie will also be teaching a handful of drum clinics in New Jersey and Michigan later this month.

The band makes a handful of other outrageous claims and allegations in the statement, which you can read in its entirety here.
