Lambgoat starts label, signs Lye By Mistake

Excuse me for a moment while I use this website to self-serve. Well, as you may have heard, we've started a record label. Why? Why not. We listen to music all day, talk to bands, talk to labels, deal online stores, etc... it really wasn't a huge stretch. Honestly, we don't really have any major agenda or lofty goals; we're just going to go with it. We expect both positive and negative feedback. If you want to talk business (booking agents?), email us here. If you want to complain, scold us, e-hug us, or whatever, please communicate via Myspace while we finalize our label website. Ok, with that out of the way, we'd like to introduce our first signing, Lye By Mistake. We first discovered these guys in 2004 when we reviewed their self-released EP. Shortly thereafter, Lye By Mistake were picked up by another record label. Unfortunately, that label folded before LBM's new album could be released. We were thinking of starting a label when we found out about their situation, so it was a natural move. These St. Louis dudes are some of the best musicians out there, and their output is a compelling blend of metal, fusion, jazz, prog, and weirdness. The new album is called "Arrangements For Fulminating Vective" and will finally hit streets on May 9th. This record will hopefully meet your sonic standards, as it was tracked by Jim Callahan (Story Of The Year), mixed by Eric Rachel (Dillinger Escape Plan), and mastered by Alan Douches (Mastodon). Meanwhile, artwork/layout was contributed by Adam Bertels (Love Lost But Not Forgotten). We didn't feel that one MP3 would accurately reflect their diversity, so here are several MP3 clips from the new album for you to check out: metal - listen prog - listen jazz - listen metal/not sure - listen prog/fusion - listen metal - listen Again, the album will be out on May 9th. Lumberjack Mordam will be handling distribution, so you should be able to buy it via the same places you usually buy your metal/hardcore/whatever. Finally, check out Lye By Mistake's Myspace page for more audio from the album, and add them as your new fake-friend. Thanks for reading!
