This Will Destroy You signs w/ Magic Bullet

One day after the release of their first compilation appearance on Magic Bullet Records "It Came From The Hills Volume One" CD, This Will Destroy You officially joined the label's diverse roster. The pride of San Marcos, Texas, This Will Destroy You are an instrumental quartet who play a cascading brand of cinematic rock music. Their consummate, cathartic sound establishes the band at the forefront of their own movement and has already created obsessed fans both in their home state and in underground circles worldwide. On June 6, 2006, Magic Bullet Records will re-issue the band's self-released masterstroke "Young Mountain," a 6-song, 36 minute composition of aural brilliance. One month later, This Will Destroy You embarks on their first ever tour, venturing to the west coast with label-mates Sparrows Swarm And Sing. "We are thrilled and honored to be a part of the Magic Bullet family," begins band member Chris Smith, "...looking forward to the album release and tour with Sparrows Swarm And Sing over the summer." Label founder Brent Eyestone expresses a similar sentiment: "This Will Destroy You is a very special band and everyone over here is chomping at the bit to help their cause. Whether they want to admit it or not, these four Texans are essentially the natural progression and modern incarnation of all great Southwestern music from many generations past. Bands like This Will Destroy You and Explosions In The Sky are the new Americana and everyone from T-Bone Walker to Wild Bill Longley are resting more peacefully because of it. This Will Destroy You have a limitless future ahead of them and we look forward to lending our full support every step of the way."
