Unearth writing new album

Official press release: Unearth's Metal Blade Records 2004 debut, The Oncoming Storm is the tempest which unveiled these masters onto metal hungry black hearts. Spawned from heavy music's breeding ground of Massachusetts, the 2004 release saw record breaking sales, more than 120,000 scanned for this Metal Blade Records masterpiece; as well as much critical acclaim in Alternative Press, Entertainment Weekly, Revolver Magazine, Rolling Stone, and so many more. Unearth's constant road grind has been an uncompromising power since 2003 when they teamed up with contemporaries Lamb Of God, Killswitch Engage and Shadows Fall with God Forbid for the first in a series of MTV 2 Headbangers Ball Tours; even setting out on the second trek of MTV 2 HBB Tour with Drowning Pool, Hatebreed and Damage Plan (Dimebag Darrell RIP). Then, landing stage time on Ozzfest's critically acclaimed second stage (2004), then marching on to other triumphant tours, including the inaugural The Sounds Of The Underground Tour (2005). Vocalist Trevor Phipps reflects, "It has been an amazing couple of years for us and we are just blown away by the overwhelming response we have received around the world. We are about to go into writing hibernation and pool our collective experiences together to make another bad ass record. So far what we have written is faster, heavier and darker than anything we have ever done. We will unleash the best record of our lives next summer. With us a ton of touring is imminent when we put out a record, so we will be back to all the places we traveled to the past two years and even add a few more countries and continents to the list in '06 and '07. As for our last few shows of the album cycle, we will be playing in Boston, Portland and Providence before we go away for a while. Playing all three of these cities is something we used to do every other weekend back in the day, but we haven't been to either place in at least two years so we felt the need to visit again before we are done. It is something we are looking forward to and the bands playing are bands we hand picked for a reason." Unearth crossed seas and borders to have their message heard; with their mind blowing performance at The Download Festival in the UK and Rock Am Ring and Rock Am Park in Germany. Unearth slayed audiences during their worldly travels from coast to coast on several continents performing along side such giants that make up today's aggressive music forecast like Killswitch Engage, Dillinger Escape Plan, Norma Jean, As I Lay Dying, A Life Once Lost, Sick Of It All, Atreyu, Black Dahlia Murder and Terror. Ending their successful campaign as co-support act on this Fall's Final Volume Tour with label mates As I Lay Dying on Slipknot's final masked run for the year. Now Unearth bring it home with these last three shows to give fans the opportunity to see the band before they go into the studio to record their next opus.
