As you all know, hardcore outfit Burn It Down broke up in late 2000. What you may not know is that Burn It Down vocalist, Ryan Downey, recently joined the group, Time In Malta. Shortly after Burn It Down was formed in 1997, original bassist, Todd Gullion moved to San Francisco and formed Time In Malta with guitarist Chris Lyon and drummer Sander Leech. In 1998, the group released an EP, "Construct & Demolish", through Escape Artist Records, the same label Burn It Down was on. Following the break up of Burn It Down, Downey relocated to the Bay Area and reunited with Gullion, taking over as Time In Malta's "lead" vocalist, with Gullion still contributing on some of the vocals. Time In Malta are currently completing the writing process for their debut full-length. Although rumors have been circulating that the group has signed to Revelation Records, Time In Malta hasn't yet selected a label to release the new effort. We'll keep you posted.
