I didn't think they would have found a better drummer to replace Dave Witte, but then they got Brandon Thomas. The only way they can trade up from this point is if they got somebody like Steve Gadd. Band is unfortunately dead in the water.

Yeah, I don't understand why everyone is thinking they won't be the same, John and Teddy are still there and they wrote all the music, and they won't get someone that can't hold his own to Witte.

There are many drummers out there as good, if not better, then Dave Witte. I think BBTS will carry on and be awesome.

How many drummers of fcking Brandon Thomas/Dave Witte caliber are out there just waiting for a gig? My guess is that it's closer to zero than it is to five.

Yeah, Brandon Thomas is the only person I can think of off the top of my head that can replace Witte/has a similar style. Maybe Lee Fisher from Commit Suicide. He's got the dynamics and control down.

the reason why they wont sound the same has nothing to do with their songwriting core, it has to do with the fact that Mike and Dave were the defining aspects of the band.

Bullshit, thats like saying the only awesome drummers play for touring bands & EVERYBODY knows them. There are many, everywhere.

To find an okay or stopgap drummer is one thing, but you're replacing two of the best drummers in metal. That's not what I'd call an easy fix.

I tried out for BBTS a couple of years ago for 2nd guitar and am glad I didn't get the gig. Jersey is a stinkhole, the last album was weak and they lost Dave, the nicest guy in the band. But I wish the best for them!
