Dillinger Escape Plan drop off Gigantour

Tuesday, August 30, 2005 2:10 PM PT

The Dillinger Escape Plan have been forced to drop off their remaining Gigantour dates due to guitarist Ben Weinman's ongoing arm problems. Weinman originally injured the arm several months ago, before aggravating the injury during the tour's stop in Atlantic City, NJ on Sunday night. A specialist suggested that Weinman cease performing until further notice. According to Weinman, "We were enjoying playing every night as part of Gigantour, and to not be able to finish the tour is an enormous disappointment to us." Meanwhile, here's what Gigantour mastermind Dave Mustaine had to say about the development: "We really respect and enjoyed the Dillinger Escape Plan -- and will miss them. Meanwhile, I personally hope that Ben has a successful and speedy recovery."
