The Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Dimitri Minakakis teases possible time in the studio

Former and now current The Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Dimitri Minakakis has sparked speculation with a cryptic Instagram story over the weekend. The short clip shows a mic set up in what looks like a recording studio, leaving fans wondering if the mathcore legends are working on new music.
The band, who reunited last year with Minakakis back on vocals for a 25th anniversary run celebrating Calculating Infinity, had officially called it quits in 2017 after a farewell tour. Whether this is just rehearsal footage or a hint at the group's first new material in nearly a decade remains to be seen.
The band, still supporting the 25th anniversary of Calculating Infinity, also has the following live tour dates scheduled for this year.
05/18 Milwaukee, WI @ Milwaukee Metal Fest
07/19 Mansfield, OH @ Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival
07/26 Denver, CO @ Unhinged Festival
08/10 Fremantle, AUS @ Metropolis
08/12 Adelaide, AUS @ The Governor Hindmarsh
08/13 Melbourne, AUS @ Northcote Theatre
08/16 Sydney, AUS @ The Enmore
08/17 Brisbane, AUS @ The Tivoli
09/21 Louisville, KY @ Louder Than Life
10/03 Sacramento, CA @ Aftershock

Post CommentWhy? Without GP this shit blows. Stop pretending those albums were good to look cool. We all know they suck shit.
More interesting than Better Lovers and/or the awful Many Eyes, but that's a low bar to cross.
Every day Ben Weinman wakes up and goes to bed seething about Greg Puciato making more money than him and being more recognizable as the face of DEP than he will ever be. Sad, little Ben.
If that isn't the biggest middle finger to metal elitists, then I dont know what is. Overall love it, keep the great stuff up
Why did he quit in the first place? Did he catch AIDS?
>Why? Without GP this shit blows. Stop pretending those albums were good to look cool. We all know they suck shit. Shut the f*ck up Greg.
So the breakup and 2 year farewell tour was just the pussy way of kicking out puciato? Weak
Independent Contractors who receive e 1099's from the bands they play in are stoked.
