Former Exodus vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza claims he was fired from the band

Last month California thrash metal veterans Exodus announced the departure of long running vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza and welcomed back former frontman Rob Dukes.
Souza has yet to make a full public statement regarding the split, he did take to the comment section of Instagram to answer fans questions about the switch.
On a recent post on Souza's personal account (posted below), a user asked for a statement from the former singer to which he responded:
Really no statement, I was let go , if you read the statement it says EXODUS has parted ways , not Zetro has parted ways !
Another user asked why Souza left, to which he clarified:
I did not leave , I was let go !! Exodus parted ways with Zetro
Souza, who originally joined Exodus in 1986 and remained until 1993, had a notable history with the band. He returned briefly from 2002-2004 before Rob Dukes took over as frontman. Dukes held the position for nearly a decade until Souza rejoined in 2014.
