Curses part ways with drummer Tyrsson Demarest, go on indefinite hiatus

West Virgnia-based metalcore act Curses have parted ways with drummer Tyrsson Demarest effective immediately as well as placed the band on indefinite hiatus.
Details are sparse on what forced the split which led to the hiatus, however in the band's statement they cite "an untenable situation brought about by personal conflict within the band" for being the cause.
The bands statement reads:
Effective immediately, Tyrsson Demarest is no longer associated with Curses. We ask that everyone please respect our privacy regarding this matter.
That being said, due to an untenable situation brought about by personal conflict within the band, we have decided it's best to put Curses on an indefinite hiatus. We will be releasing one final song in the coming weeks.
We'd like to thank everyone for all the time spent, the moments shared, and the memories made together. It really isn't possible to fully express how much this has meant to us over the years.
We will always cherish what you've given us.
Demarest is also a member of North Carolina progressive metal group, Nullification.
