Orphan members suing members of Peelingflesh over copyright infringement
It appears that current members of Orphan, a cryptic deathcore band, are suing the distributor CDbaby, as well as members of Peelingflesh over alleged copyright infringement. This stems from a long-running legal battle over the ownership of a band they were all in together previously, Strangled.
Jacob and Josua Mathes, who comprise Orphan, intend to sue former Strangled and current Peelingflesh members Mychel Soto and Joe Pelletier, as well as CDBaby, the distributor of Strangled's music. Fans have noticed that the band's discography has appeared and disappeared numerous times on streaming services in the aftermath of the breakup.
