Comeback Kid/Misery Signals guitarist Stuart Ross shares new project SinkingFeeling
Comeback Kid and Misery Signals guitarist Stu Ross has unveiled his latest project, SinkingFeeling.
The debut EP, Now I'm Lost in the Dark, features four tracks inspired by Ross's personal journey through grief after losing his father to cancer. Known for his vocal work with Lowtalker and Living With Lions, Ross returns to the mic for this deeply emotional release.
The effort was recorded by Tim Creviston (Youth Fountain, Spiritbox) and produced by Chris Cresswell (The Flatliners, Hot Water Music).
Limited to 275 copies, you can purchase one here.
A music video for "Choke" has also made its way online, the clip was directed by Jim Madden.
Douglas shared the following:
When my dad passed away it destroyed me.
He was a role model, a teacher, a caring father and a best friend. I found some catharsis in writing down what I was experiencing, I eventually put those feelings to music. I sat on these songs for years. It wasn't until @crustcrustwell encouraged me to record these songs that I'd ever considered sharing them with anyone. @xbbestx was my cornerman throughout this process of baring my vulnerability and sharing my experience with losing someone I loved more than anyone in this world. Without @xbbestx these songs would never have seen the light of day. I'll also extend a huge thanks to @timcreviston for his care and patience engineering and mixing these songs.
