Renaissance bassist Jon Camp passes away at 75

Jon Camp, bassist and vocalist for UK prog rock group Renaissance, has passed away at the age of 75 on December 13th. A key member of the band's classic lineup, Camp joined in 1972 and contributed to albums from Prologue (1972) to Time-Line (1983). He provided the male lead vocals on tracks like "Song Of Scheherazade" and occasionally played guitar.

Beyond Renaissance, Camp collaborated with Annie Haslam on her 1977 solo album Annie In Wonderland and worked with Roy Wood during the '70s and '80s. He also played on Robin George's debut album Dangerous Music and later co-founded Cathedrale, a pop/prog rock band whose sole album was released in 2017.
