As I Lay Dying's Tim Lambesis seen in heated exchange with wife on newly surfaced video
Update #2: Tim has shared a statement in response to the newly surfaced videos, here.
A video circulating online shows As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis involved in an intense exchange with his wife, Dany Lambesis. The footage, which lacks audio, appears to be taken from a camera positioned on a nightstand.
The clip begins with Lambesis, shirtless and seated on the edge of a bed, having what seems to be a tense conversation with Dany. The situation escalates when Dany appears to yell something, prompting Lambesis to lunge forward aggressively. After a brief moment, he retreats, slamming his hands on a suitcase and stomping his feet in frustration.
He then returns to the bed, placing a hand on Dany's leg while yelling again. She responds, and Lambesis lunges forward once more, grabbing her face with both hands before releasing and hitting himself in the head and chest. The clip ends with Lambesis noticing the camera and covering it.
Adding to the controversy, wife Dany Lambesis made a public announcement regarding rumors of abuse by Tim, which she has previously denied.
Tim Lambesis's troubles continue to mount as As I Lay Dying faces significant internal and external setbacks. The chaos began in late October with bassist Ryan Neff's departure, followed shortly by tour manager Alex Kendrick. The exodus didn't stop there, as guitarist Ken Susi, drummer Nick Pierce, and longtime guitarist Phil Sgrosso also left the fold, effectively dismantling the band's lineup. The fallout led to the cancellation of their upcoming European tour.
Brandon Short, a collaborator on Lambesis's side project Austrian Death Machine, also publicly distanced himself from both Lambesis and the project over a week ago, adding to the growing list of severed ties.
Despite the implosion, Lambesis has vowed to push forward. In a statement, he claimed he plans to rebuild As I Lay Dying "from the ground up," echoing the sentiment of their latest album title.
Interestingly, amid all the turmoil, As I Lay Dying was still listed as part of the lineup for Welcome To Rockville, scheduled for May 2025. Fans remain skeptical about how, or if, the band will navigate this uncertain future.
Update #1: A second video involving As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis has emerged, further intensifying the scrutiny surrounding his personal life. This new clip, complete with audio, shows Lambesis flipping a table while seated with his wife, Dany.
As Dany attempts to leave the room, Lambesis intercepts her and begins punching himself in the face while seemingly pleading for her love.
