Bloodywood cancel upcoming show in Kolkata due to frontman's vocal injury
Indian metal band Bloodywood has canceled an upcoming show in Kolkata due a bleeding polyp in their frontman Jayant Bhadula's throat.
The band posted to Instagram about the situation, writing:
"Hi everyone! We have some unfortunate news to share. Jayant has had a polyp form in his throat and durinduring rehearsals for the upcoming shows it started bleeding. He has had to be rushed into surgery to get it excised yesterday. The good news is that he is doing well and the doctors are optimistic about his recovery. However, this puts us in the most unfortunate situation as we will have to cancel our upcoming show in Kolkata on the 9th of November. For now, everything else stays on schedule and we hope he recovers soon and comes back better than ever!
We sincerly apologize to our fans in Kolkata who were looking forward to seeing us for the first time in their beautiful city. Needless to say, we're heartbroken ourselves. We'll be back soon, that's a promise."
The band released their first single in over two years, "Nu Delhi" on October 20th and have also announced a 26-date UK and European tour for 2025.
