Even their albums are abandoning Tim Lambesis and As I Lay Dying.
Update: As I Lay Dying makes first statement, explains why the album was pulled, states it should be back soon. The official statement is included below.
In the never-ending soap opera that is As I Lay Dying, their 2019 album, Shaped By Fire – at the time, the band's first album since frontman Tim Lambesis' fall from grace – has apparently been pulled from all major streaming services.
Its removal seems to have taken place during the past day and reportedly applies to Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon Music, and Tidal, among others.
There's been no official explanation for the record's scrubbing from any party involved, but given the turmoil As I Lay Dying finds itself in this week, the development isn't terribly shocking. It should be noted that the Nuclear Blast Records-released album featured three band members – Nick Hipa, Josh Gilbert, and Jordan Mancino – who all exited the group prior to 2023.
Perhaps most awkwardly, As I Lay Dying (which currently consists of just Tim Lambesis and, well, maybe, Phil Sgrosso) are slated to release their new album Through Storms Ahead in just three weeks via Napalm Records.
The saga continues.
Update: As I Lay Dying release first statement since the drama has started to unfold. The band released a short blurb on their social media accounts explaining the missing album.
The statement reads as follows:
Sorry for the temporary inconvenience of Shaped By Fire not being available on streaming services. We had a 5 year distribution deal that has been fulfilled and the album has reverted back to being owned by the band. It will be put back online, but we just need a moment for the processing to take place.
Beyond that, we are still sorting through details of what is going on within AILD and will have more details for you soon.

All part of the marketing scheme. Shaped by fire not only reinvented the way we listen to metal, but the genre as a whole. Now that it's pulled from streaming, we are only left to our own imaginations (as the listener) as to what the next genre defining album will sound like. It's going to be a hell of a 3 week wait, but worth it in the end.

A long time ago my homie and I went to see Unearth at the Chameleon in Lancaster PA. As I Lay Dying was opening up for them. My buddy wanted to be close to the stage, so we worked our way up to the front. They take the stage, and starts the first song. The lead singer walked straight up to my dude, grabbed him by the neck and kissed him on the lips. Needless to say, buddy didn't want to get close to the stage after that. It was hilarious, and they shredded. That's my only knowledge of them, but As I Lay Dying were great that night
