God Forbid album, tour update

More details regarding the new God Forbid album have been revealed. Recording will commence in May, with work set to take place at Audiohammer Studios with Jason Suecof (Trivium) and Trax East with Eric Rachel (Dillinger Escape Plan). The album is tentatively slated for a fall release through Century Media Records. Here's an update from frontman Doc Coyle: "We are about halfway through composing our next metal masterpiece, IV: Constitution of Treason, and I have to say that the writing is going amazing. It's shaping up to be some of the best material we've ever written. Something feels really special about this entire process. It's hard to say what it sounds like so far because I don't think you really know what your record is going to be until it's completely done, and we're far from that. It's definitely a bit more rockin’ and even more epic- sounding than anything we've done. All the dual leads and heavy grooves are intact, but it's got a new feel to it, and I'm sure we will surprise people again. We refuse to repeat ourselves and become a formulaic band." Meanwhile, prior to their upcoming U.K. headlining tour, and spring tour with Caliban, Full Blown Chaos, and It Dies Today, the group will be supporting Soulfly for a few East Coast shows in early-March. Here's the latest: dates w/ Soulfly, Death By Stereo 3/3 Buffalo NY @ The Buffalo Icon 3/4 West Springfield VA @ Jaxx 3/5 Winston-Salem NC @ Ziggy's 3/6 North Myrtle Beach SC @ House of Blues 3/8 Ft.
