A Lot Like Birds recruit Andy Cizek as vocalist for tour w/ Hail The Sun following Monuments hiatus
Andy Cizek, known for his vocal duties in Monuments and Makari, is set to join post-hardcore band A Lot Like Birds for their upcoming tour alongside Hail The Sun, where they will be celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their album Wake.
In a post shared today A Lot Like Birds say:
We are excited to announce that Andy Cizek (Of Monuments & Makari) will be joining us on harsh vocals for the upcoming Wake tour with Hail The Sun! Ticks are going fast, you don't wanna miss this!
The band shared a link for tickets here.
This announcement comes on the heels of Monuments sharing that they will no longer be part of Leprous' fall tour in North America with Fight The Fight. Additionally, the band has also chosen to halt work on their upcoming album and declared an indefinite hiatus due to guitarist Josh Browne's health issues and drummer Mike Malyan's departure, as stated in a letter shared by the band.
Cizek commented on joining A Lot Like Birds as a touring vocalist:
Thrilled to announce that I'll be taking on vocal duties with @alotlikebirdson their upcoming tour!
If you knew me growing up, you know how huge this is for young Andy!! I couldn't be more excited to perform some of my favorite songs with a band that has profoundly inspired me.
