WATCH: Slipknot kick off 25th anniversary tour, perform material written before 1999 only

slipknot 25th anniversary show

Slipknot kicked off their 25th anniversary celebratory 'Here Comes The Pain' tour tonight, Tuesday, August 6th, in Noblesville, IN. The show featured nothing but tracks released prior to 1999, some being performed for the first time in over two decades.

Find Slipknot tickets here.

Vocalist Corey Taylor issued a statement prior to the show:

I'm going to give you a brief warning, nothing you are about to hear tonight was written before 1999.

As you can see on the setlist posted below, the band performed their 1999 self-titled 2x platinum album, which included few tracks they haven't placed in quite some time. "Only One" was performed for the first time since 2012, "No Life" and the show's closer "Scissors" haven't been apart of the band's live set since 2000.

This tour will mark the first real run including new drummer Eloy Casagrande formerly of Sepultura. Casagrande took over for former drummer Jay Weinberg who was let go from the band in late 2023 after a 10 year stint in the group.

Some videos have started to surface, no pun intended, from tonight's performance.

Update August 7th 2:32PM: a video featuring the full show ahs been added directly below.
