Dimmu Borgir, Gorjia, Saltatio Mortis, Machine Head and more added to Wacken Open Air 2025

As the 2024 edition of Wacken Open Air Festival came to an end organizers released the first wave of bands to perform on the next year's line up. The festival has released the first 34 acts that will take the stage in 2025, including Machine Head, Gorjira, Saltatio Mortis, and Papa Roach.

Wacken Open Air Festival, founded din 1989 (first event in 1990), caters to all styles of heavy music and is one of the largest heavy music events in the world and was the largest open air music festivals in Germany between 2011-2018. The 2025 editiong of the event will be held in the in the village of Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, DE from July 30th through August 2nd.

The initial line up also sees full special sets from Exhorder playing Slaughter In The Vatican, Night Demon performing Curse Of The Damned 10th-anniversary show, Midnight playing Complete & Total Hell, Orange Goblin performing a 30th-anniversary show, Grave Digger performing their 45th-anniversary show, and Michael Schenker playing a My Years with UFO set.
