Legion unleash new 'Fortress of Thorns' EP, first new music in over a decade
Columbus-based Deathcore outfit Legion has finally released new music after hinting at upcoming material last February while letting fans know they are "still heavy."
The band's surprise release, Fortress of Thorns, confirms that fact and features 5 tracks with a special appearance on track 4, "Nothing Left" by Jamie Hanks of I Declare War.
Legion took care of the music, while Kevin Rutherford handled the engineering, mixing, and mastering. The artwork for this project was brought to life by Adam Yates, and the band's logo was designed by Collin Simula.
Fortress of Thorns tracklisting:
1. Fortress of Thorns
2. Desecrated
3. It Had No Face
4. Nothing Left (feat. Jamie Hanks)
5. Scraping the Dirt
Legion, which was founded in 2009, put out an EP titled This Is The End later that same year. In 2010, they followed up with another EP called Bottom Feeder, and then released their full-length album Woke on Good Fight Music in 2013.
The group has never formally disbanded and was occasionally seen performing at shows between 2014 and 2015, but there had been no further activities reported since then.
This album marks the band's first new music since then.
