Ruins of Perception unveil "Empress ov Blood" single featuring David Simonich of Signs of the Swarm

Ruins Of Perception

Germany's symphonic deathcore act Ruins of Perception has released a new EP, Ballads ov Blood, which is now available.

The band's newest music video release features the intense single and accompanying video, "Empress ov Blood," showcasing a collaboration with Signs of the Swarm vocalist David Simonich

The narrative woven within the music centers around Lady Camilla, a vampire character inspired by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu's work, creating a dark and immersive atmosphere.

The band explains:

Our new single, 'Empress ov Blood,' is a real monster of a song. The track tells the story of Lady Camilla, a female vampire, inspired by the writer Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu. However, it's worth mentioning that once you're listening to the single, you'll lose track of time. That's a symbol of everything that defines our music - just lose yourself and get embraced by the web our music is weaving around you! It's loaded with lots of breakdowns, slams and symphonic interludes.

To perpetuate her eternal youth, it was told that Lady Camilla was bathing in her prey's blood. The luxurious bathroom with a big bathing tube was simply made for that scene! The grand piano in the entrance hall was also a nice addition, because of the track's instrumental introduction. Therefore, Max (guitars) was able to play on the piano to create the perfect opening sequence.

Our new EP goes bigger than ever with its unique soundscape and sheer ferocity. No two songs are the same, yet they all form a kind of cycle. That was very important to us. You'll dive directly into new spheres and get embraced by the gloom of our stories we tell in our songs. It's like a dark fairytale centered all around vampires.

With aggressive-chunky rhythms and diabolic gutturals paired with spherical choirs, orchestral and catchy melodies, we're creating our very own kind of music. Elements from death-core, slam, symphonic and black metal are merging together - the result is an absolutely special and heavy sound - something very outstanding in this genre. We are the symbiosis of beautiful and bone crushing tunes. What's also particularly noteworthy is the orchestral accompaniment, especially the liturgical background choirs in Latin. In general, this EP is far more symphonic than the last album, some of the songs are significantly longer and more complex.

We were able to improve immensely on this new offering, both vocally and instrumentally. Max's songwriting and his handling of musical parameters are on a whole new level. Hagen's vocals have improved incredibly and can easily keep up with other genre greats. His new diversity and bigger vocal range meets perfected technique - it's just fun to listen to him. Last but not least, Dan Tucker (Crown Magnetar) and David Simonich (Signs of the Swarm) lend their vocal talents to us and the results are absolutely awesome.

We're truly more relentless than ever and we will guide you into the realms of chaos, enshrouding our listeners within a monumental storm of dark symphonies and melancholy, spiced with breakdowns and slams.
