Mayhem Festival, last held in 2015, gearing up for an announcement in 2024

mayhem fest 24 tease

An announcement regarding the apparent return of the future of Mayhem Festival will be made next week. A post shared via the festival's Instagram stories overnight offered a barebones tease of what's to come. Once a summer metal institution, the festival last took place in 2015 before shuttering amid numerous challenges.

While several returns have been teased or rumored over the years, none have materialized. In 2020, Ash Avildsen of Sumerian Records and his team took on the task of resurrecting the festival, along with several other events, most notably The Summer Slaughter Tour

A simple image of a Skeletor-type figure's face with the text "Announcement Next Week" was shared with the song "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield playing as a story on the fest's Instagram. It is no longer available, however thanks to ThePRP we have an image to show you.
