Stand Still announce LP 'Steps Ascending' & debut first single "In The Dying Light of a Setting Sun"

Long Island's Stand Still is gearing up for the release of their debut full-length album titled Steps Ascending, scheduled to drop on June 14th via DAZE. After teasing fans with tracks like the title track and "Mysticism" earlier this year, the band has now unveiled a new single titled "In the Dying Light of a Setting Sun."

"In the Dying Light of a Setting Sun" showcases the band's emotionally driven melodic hardcore style while also delving into some of their heaviest material to date. The accompanying music video for the song was directed by Tom Flynn.

Vocalist Gerry Windus shared the following:

The "setting sun" in this track is one's lifespan running short, and the "dying light" describes the remains of one's motivation to live a fulfilling life. These lyrics describe my personal struggle to capture the childlike imagination that surrounded my early creative years while lacking the drive of a younger version of myself, a drive that I am well aware I may never get back.
