darkest hour 23

Official press release:

Washington, D.C. quintet Darkest Hour have announced their tenth album Perpetual | Terminal, out February 23 via MNRK Heavy

Pre-order it here.

The band has introduced the new album by sharing the video for the title track.

Watch the video below.

The band shared the following:

This is a whole Darkest Hour album in one song," the band says. "It felt like the perfect album opener, eventually became the title track, and therefore is the perfect place to start as we present this new album to the world. Lyrically, it touches on all of the themes of the record — an album centered around the duality of survival and rebirth. Or, you could just say, some new music from old friends who just won't ever give up.

Apparently the venue is far away enough from any schools so it won't violate your parole, huh?

anonymous 152 days ago

see you at jannus, leaving promptly before FFAA

anonymous 152 days ago

Can we all agree that Exodus is probably the worst metal band of all time?

anonymous 152 days ago

^^^^^straight poser comment! DH wish they had an album as good as Bonded by Blood! Now, this is a steady stream of knockoff Gothenburg wimp metal for posers!

Can we all agree that Exodus is probably the worst metal band of all time? ___ This is... not an informed opinion.

anonymous 152 days ago

Oh look. The same boring song. Again. No guitar wizardry either.

anonymous 152 days ago

Of course these commies have another song about their "utopia". Its over. Your done.

anonymous 152 days ago

*you're. ^^^ you dumbo.

anonymous 152 days ago

How many of the songs did Taylor Larson write for this one?? lol

VottScogel 152 days ago

"new music from old friends who just won't ever give up" ^pretty much. Guitar solo left a bit to be desired, too.

anonymous 152 days ago

There is nothing cool about this band. The punk rock guitar player had a cameo account.

anonymous 152 days ago

But do they stand for the current thing?!

anonymous 152 days ago

Turnstile Accountant here. If these dudes hired Brady to be in their band, they'd be headlining stadiums by the end of the month.

anonymous 152 days ago

Watching other bands that suck but tour with you play huge venues and tours must really drive this talented band crazy

anonymous 152 days ago

Looks like the old guitar player saw the writing on the wall.

anonymous 152 days ago

Antifa and commies are stoked.

anonymous 152 days ago

Was really hoping this would have sounded more like Godless Prophets and also Hidden Hands but it seems like this album might be more on the commercial side. Bummer.

Fight me at The Forge in Joliet

VottScogel 152 days ago

^more like Toliet

anonymous 152 days ago

The new song is very ok..

anonymous 151 days ago

Remember when this band supported the domestic terrorist shenanigans of Antifa ? And the singer publicly advocated for political violence cuz george floyd died?

anonymous 151 days ago

Have been into this band since Mark of the Judas and I dig it. This song encompasses everything DH is and I'm stoked to see them with Exodus and Undeath. Will promptly leave before FFAA like the other dude above.

anonymous 151 days ago

Please just go away shit band.

anonymous 151 days ago

It's time to give up, guys. This band has always been mediocre.

anonymous 151 days ago

This band is at the gates slaughter of the soul level of having the same drum beat at the same speed in just about every song they've ever written. No dynamics. At least slaughter of the soul has awesome melodies tho

anonymous 151 days ago

Very cool! I'm excited to see what the set list is for this run.

anonymous 151 days ago

^same hoping: Doomsayer With a Thousand Words to Say But One Demon(s) The Sadist Nation Savor The Kill Sound the Surrender Tranquil Then maybe a couple new songs...

anonymous 151 days ago

^oh and also The Tides

anonymous 151 days ago

The guitar solos are fake. Recorded slowed down and sped up by a computer

lake_flaccid 151 days ago

One of the last bands from this era that hasn't broken up or completely gone to shit, if you don't like at least one record from them you're a stinky old metalhead or a tiktok hardcore kid. Song is not as heavy or raw sounding as the last album but feels very DH nonetheless. Excited for this album! Doesn't sound as heavy or raw as the last
