Jake Marlowe, former Desolated bassist, confirmed dead in Southern Israel

Former Desolated bassist Jake Marlowe has been confirmed dead after going missing for five days following a Hamas attack at the Supernova festival near Kibbutz Re'im. 

The 26-year-old, who had been working as a security guard at the festival, was last seen providing security early on Saturday morning when gunmen attacked near the Gaza border.

The Israeli Embassy in London confirmed Marlowe's death on Wednesday afternoon. His parents, Lisa and Michael Marlowe, shared a statement, informing friends and loved ones about the news.

We are heartbroken to have to inform you the crushing news that our son Jake has been confirmed dead in Southern Israel.

Repatriation plans are being put in to place, more information will follow.
