Thursday, October 7, 2004 2:53 PM PT

We mentioned this several weeks ago, but it's now official, The Esoteric have signed a worldwide record deal with Prosthetic Records. Featuring former members of Coalesce and Today Is The Day, the Kansas band has previously released material with Crash and Bang Records and Black Noise Records (you can find Lambgoat reviews of both albums here.) The group is currently recording a new album with producer/engineer Ed Rose (Coalesce, The Get Up Kids) at Black Lodge Studios in Eudora, KS. Recording will be completed on November 5th and the album, entitled "With the Sureness of Sleepwalking," will hit stores on February 22, 2005. Tentative track titles include: "Your New Burden", "A Fool's Errand", "Until the Grave Gives Up the Ghost", "Ram-Faced Boy", "This Is Dedicated to the Prettiest One" and "No Jazz Before the Rumble".
