Official press release:

Long Island, NY hardcore band Pain Of Truth have quickly become one of the most exciting true hardcore bands to emerge in the twenty-twenties, known for their intense live shows and hard-hitting lyrics. Today the band announces their debut full-length album, Not Through Blood, set for release September 8th on DAZE. Following the 2020 EP, No Blame…Just Facts, and a 2021 split with Age Of Apocalypse, Not Through Blood finds the band sounding sharper and meaner than ever. Always making things a community affair, POT's No Blame…Just Facts included six guest vocal contributions and Not Through Blood adds up to a whopping thirteen guest features. Freddy Cricien of Madball, Scott Vogel of Terror, Justice Tripp of Trapped Under Ice, Vinnie Caruana of The Movielife, Jay Peta of Mindforce, and Brendan Garrone of Incendiary are just the tip of the iceberg to who listeners will find lending their voice to the album. Full tracklist below.

Pre-order Not Through Blood on Daze here.

First single comes in "Actin' Up," a callout to passer-bys who create a fake persona in a scene they aren't truly a part of. Some serious guitar riffs lead way to Michael Smith's ruthlessly direct vocals before being joined by the heavy growls of 200 Stab Wounds Steve Buhl.

Not Through Blood was recorded and mixed Andy Nelson at Bricktop Studio in Chicago, IL and mastered by Bill Henderson at Azimuth Recordings.

Not Through Blood tracklist:
1. Lifeless On The Ground feat Anthony Didio and Jon Lhaubouet of Vein.fm
2. In Your Heart feat Scott Vogel of Terror
3. Actin' Up feat Steve Buhl of 200 Stab Wounds
4. You and Me feat Freddy Cricien of Madball
5. This Falls On You feat Shane Moran of Bad Seed / Title Fight
6. Too Late feat Justice Tripp of Trapped Under Ice / Angel Du$t
7. Pickin' at Scraps feat Jay Peta of Mindforce and Austin Sparkman of Buried Dreams Haywire
8. Out Of Our Hands feat Vinnie Caruana of The Movielife / I Am The Avalanche
9. Same Old Story
10. Under My Skin feat Josiah Hoeflinger of Criminal Instinct
11. Not Through Blood feat Brendan Garrone of Incendiary and Corin of Last Wishes

It pains me to say but this band truthfully blows

anonymous 306 days ago

Less is more guys, if you need that many guest spots, vocalist probably needs to step up

If you wanna make a hc "supergroup" do that then but don't have a guest spot on 99% of your songs. Shit is weak af. f*cking twitter/merch core

is it just me or is that art horrible yeah it bad

anonymous 306 days ago

LOL .. when you're so unoriginal, riding off the hype of your one and only one hit wonder ep, you need a guest spot on damn near every track 🤣😂🤣 can't wait til this band is forgotten about in a year. Just like Trail Of Lies.

This is the most self-absorbed style of heavy music.

is it just me or is that art horrible >>> Yes but is it me or does that dude look like Rick Ta Life? 😂 LMAO @ this "band" having a guest vocalist on every track which tells me the vocalist can't stand on his own vocals. Weak AF is right. Also he sounds like a 19 year old who is growing into his voice & like a dude who is straining to take a shit from lack of roughage. Horrible song, horrible band, LIHC is dead.

Scott Vogel SMH Vinnie Caruana 😂🤡💩 Brendan De La Garroacha cuz he sounds like ZDLR. Actually a better name for him is Wack De La Rocha because like Zach he rails against The System he is very much of part of right Mr.Wall Street/finance bro? You ain't a "Product of New York" either, Fronter, you're a Product Of Levittown Long Island. LOL @ Rage Against The MachIncendiary thinking it's an honor to be called an RATM clone when it's not.

Oh look, an album cover with a gun no one in this band of rich kid tryhards owns.

anonymous 305 days ago

My favorite parts of this album will be the 10 seconds of vocals from vocalists in bands I actually like.

Just like Trail Of Lies. >>> Trail Of Lies vocalist Tom Damiano (dick): Tells a girl sexual predators aren't welcome in Syracuse hardcore, has the drummer for Regulate drum for Trail Of Lies. Does merch for No Pressure who employs this Regulate turd. Trail Of Lies is right.

Pretty rich lyrical content when this band formed in 2020 & made their debut headlining two shows. Hyped & propped up since Day One. Paid zero dues.

Seriously, this song is about people who pop up in hardcore for scene cred ir whatever yeah what about you Pain Of Truth? You headline your first two shows based on what? You have a Sound Talent Group booking agent because you REALLY need one to play all those VFWs & 300 capacity tops places like Preserving Underground. So hardcore! Your new album has a different guest vocalist for every song & it's no coincidence that most of the bands they sing for are from bigger bands (Madball, Vein.FM, Mindforce etc.) But you're calling out people who are tryhards.

anonymous 304 days ago

The irony calling themselves a Long Island band when only two members are from there and the ones that are a from well to do suburban white picket fence towns there. The singer never had to work a day in his life and is the biggest try hard poser ever riding on the backs of his brothers pay to play band Backtrack. Your singer has to be absolute horrible to have a guest on every song. Horrible. Makes me really loose respect for every band that is featuring themselves with this try hard shit.

Uhhh either get a drummer who lives in LI or CT or have your drummer move to either place or around either. Any promoter who doesn't tell them that airfare is included in pay is a sap. Your singer has to be absolute horrible to have a guest on every song. Horrible. Makes me really loose respect for every band that is featuring themselves with this try hard shit >>> SMH @ Jay Petagine & Brendan Garrone. Scott Vogel was expected cuz he's a hack.

anonymous 304 days ago

If Jamey Jasta asked Scott to rip a lawnmower sounding fart on a song Scott would do it & wolf down a minimum of five Taco Bell small bean & cheese burritos to do it.

If your band formed in 2020 it literally did not exist in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s or even 2010s and thus you don't get to say who or what is hardcore.

anonymous 304 days ago

I never heard something so stupid in my life. Guarantee plus airfare for the drummer. Fu ck that. He chooses to live 500+ miles from everyone else in the band like a weirdo that travelfare is an expense YOUR BAND PAYS out of pocket.
