Napalm Death's Mark "Barney" Greenway unfazed by ankle injury on European tour
Napalm Death vocalist Mark "Barney" Greenway hurt his right ankle at a show on their "Campaign For Musical Destruction 2023" European tour in Munich, Germany on February 19. Since then he's been playing the rest of the shows sitting down on a chair at the front of the stage.
Greenway talked about his latest injury during their Paris concert on February 26, a full video of which can be seen below.
As transcribed by Blabbermouth, Barney said:
"[I] broke an ankle on stage in Munich seven nights ago. So I've got another five fucking weeks in this thing, but I'm gonna make the fucking most of it.
Needless to say, there may have been an option for me to not do the gigs, but that is not what I do or what I don't do. I wanted to go [and play the gigs], and that is it."

Endless props to Barney. I don't know how he does it. Especially at his age. I broke an ankle at 21 and was out of commission for two and a half months.

Politics aside, this man is a trooper. Very bad ass of him to continue. My sweet uncle would say some shit about how "his ankle aint where his singing comes from, bubba. Let the show go on." and I'd agree here. Respect.
The last time I saw them, he had slipped on ice and broken his arm.
