New Jersey's finest, Gel, recently announced their highly anticipated debut full-length, Only Constant, and today they're sharing its second single and accompanying, "Honed Blade." Due out March 31st from Convulse Records, the album is a 16 minute blast of ferocious hardcore that proves exactly why Gel have become one of the most exciting new bands in the genre.
"Honed Blade" follows lead single "Attainable" which has already garnered the band attention from the likes of NPR, Stereogum, NME, Revolver Magazine, BrooklynVegan, and more. The song opens Only Constant and offers a perfect example of Gel's magic trick: making unrelentingly aggressive hardcore that's somehow instantly accessible.

Gel is garbage. NJHC is a joke. No active bands from before 2017 left. Shackled & Raw Life are the only 2010s NJHC bands left.

Dino here! I actually dig this band. Catchy tunes, and cool peeps from what I hear. But 16 minute albums? 15 minute sets? C'mon people, those are rookie numbers. Ya gotta step your game up if you wanna reach Fear Factory levels of respectability! But you're young, I get it - you got time to grow.
