Slayer tribute Slower features members of Fu Manchu, Monolord, and Year Of The Cobra
Slower, a new project featuring musicians from Fu Manchu, Monolord, and Year Of The Cobra, is paying homage to the legendary thrash metal band Slayer. The gimmick is that Slower is slowing down selected Slayer tracks to create a heavy and doom-filled tribute that also has elements of satire. A clip of Slayer's "War Ensemble" from their album "Seasons in the Abyss" has been shared by Slower on Instagram.
The members of Slower include vocalist Amy Barrysmith (Year Of The Cobra), vocalist Laura Pleasants (Kylesa), guitarist Bob Balch (Fu Manchu), bassist Peder Bergstrand (Lowrider), bassist Scott Reeder (Fireball Ministry, ex-Kyuss), and drummer Esben Willems (Monolord). More updates and clips are to be posted on Slower's Instagram account.
