The latest line up announcement for Furnace Fest is the return of Turnstile.
Turnstile last played the Birmingham, AL-based festival in 2021 for the grand return of Furnace Fest after a two decade hiatus.
The festival is scheduled to take place at The Sloss Furnaces on September 22-24 2023.

this is actually smart by the show runners… head in friday to see hatebreed, nj, woj. then put all the sissy acts on saturday: scowl, gel, zulu, turnstile, dead to fall at 12-1230, whatever else you see on list.. take the day off. head back in sunday for aild, idt, htd, tas, alol, dep, tij, byd, fbtmof, fassw.
FF has been so succesful that they shed a whole day of bands this year. Great job guys. Next year it will only be 1 day.

Turnstile is playing this so they have one foot in the metal/hardcore fest world in case they don't make it in the Coachella/arena/stadium world. Funny thing about them is no one talks about how their main songwriter is no longer in the band & the guy who replaced him (guitarist for Take Offense) is playing his (Brady Ebert's) songs. They're arguably a cover band now without Brady. At some point they will have to put out a new album without Brady & their first record without him - scary, uncharted waters. And it better sound as close to what Brady wrote as possible, not sound like Take Offense.

It would really be a good chance to showcase your skills and abilities at booking festivals. There's a bunch of lots in Odessa Florida that you could probably plot out a festival lay out, and I'm sure since your so great with people that you have the social and interpersonal skills required to deal with all the vendors, city officials, bands, and crew to get this done right :)

Still impressive how that story was brushed under the rug. Turnstile's popularity explosion behind mediocrity like Glow On is still one of the most baffling events I've seen in heavy music history, I think it had to do with the pandemic restrictions ending and their supposed upbeat, sunny message.

Probably not. They are likely trust fund babies or their management knows someone that owed them a huge favor. Not a chance in hell this mediocre band got on a f*ckin Taco Bell commercial without connections.
^^^ Not trustfund babies but their manager is James Vitalo & their booking agent is a big hip hop representative at Wasserman Agency one of the biggest talent agencies in the world. Taco Bell uses Turnstile music because Turnstile is cheap. I doubt the band got more than 100-150K which is peanuts to TB. Turnstile has zero leverage - they can't say "Chipotle is offering more" 😂 I'm saying it here: Turnstile's next record will flop because Brady Ebert didn't write the music. No Brady, no Turnstile getting bigger. The Take Offense guy who replaced him isn't the dude who replaced John Frusciante when John quit Red Hot Chili Oeppers , neither is Brady & Turnstile isn't RHCP or even Mother's Milk RHCP (not huge yet.) The band is milking Glow On as long as they can but at some point they will have to put out something without Brady & for the first time without him - again unchartered waters.
