GEL announce debut album, share new song
'Only Constant' due out March 31 on Convulse records

New Jersey's finest, GEL, have announced their highly anticipated debut full-length, Only Constant. Due out March 31st from Convulse Records, the album is a 16-minute blast of untouchable ferocious hardcore that proves exactly why GEL have become one of the most exciting new bands in the genre.
To mark the album's announcement, GEL have shared a pummeling new track, "Attainable." The song highlight's GEL's ability to be genuinely catchy without sacrificing an ounce of aggression, with a nearly danceable hi-hat beat that's sure to get the floor moving at the band's upcoming live shows.

The music on Only Constant pushes the aggression factor even further, but Kaiser's lyrics are deeply self-reflective, walking a line between rage and optimism. "I've learned a lot about myself and how to address negative feelings," they say. "The album is about trying to let go of those self-destructive tendencies and embrace change." GEL fosters this mentality through their music, these are high intensity songs but they're full of the kind of vulnerability it takes to unabashedly be yourself. The riffs might compel you to jump off a stage, but you'll know someone is going to catch you.

For those who don't know the allusion to Jordan Jenkins he is the 5 foot 5, 5 foot 6 tops vocalist for Momentum who gets shows entirely on being down with whoever but draw di ck like their pals Section H8. He also carries a gun (or so he says) cuz he can't fight without one i.e. he's a pussy with a severe Napoleon Complex. Some racist & transphobe showed up to Gel's. Show in Columbus Ohio, broke their van mirror & ran off like the fat coward he is. Jordan & his pals accused Gel of calling the cops thus being cop callers & Gel denied it. Their van or a rented one they'd rather eat the cost of the damage than file a police report only to get insurance to reimburse them the cost or have the rental policy cover the cost. So basically Jordo & Pals and Gel don't live in the adult world & are both idiots. Jordo thinks calling the cops to get insurance/rental policy coverage thus avoid paying for damage out of pocket is bad. He is an adult child.

You know what society more specifically hardcore doesn't need? His played out fest & shows which only exist because bands who were around before 2000 still exist today. He would be lost if he had to book This Is Hardcore Fest & shows in general with no reunions & nothing but bands who formed from 2010 on save Turnstile who would artificially inflate the fest draw. Push it back to 2000 on & he'd still be lost. Terror & Death Before Dishonor...and then who? He's whining about people dressing like construction workers yet I don't think he's helped a single local kid/person get into a labor union.
