Anthrax and Black Label Society announce another run, supported by Exodus

Anthrax

Official press release:

Someone once said that "anything worth doing is worth doing twice." So, Metalheads, 2023 is going to kick off with a brand new round of some of the finest thrash and heavy metal to grace North American stages. Co-headliners Anthrax and Black Label Society, who tore through the country this past summer with their iconic thrash/heavy metal, will be heading back on the road for a 24-date tour, making stops in all new markets, with both bands playing headline sets. Joining Anthrax and Black Label Society as Special Guest on this run will be Northern California's thrash metal gods, Exodus. The tour launches on January 17 at the Revolution Concert House in Boise, ID, wrapping in Oakland, CA at the Fox Theatre on February 18.

Exodus band leader and guitarist Gary Holt shared:

Exodus are super stoked to announce that we will be touring with Anthrax and Black Label Society. Touring with our long-time friends in Anthrax is always an epic good time, and now we get to tour with BLS and watch Zakk and company rip it up nightly too! Going to be awesome and we will be bringing our unique brand of audio violence to every city! Let the metal roll!

Tour would be solid if Black Label wasnt opening.

Maybe you missed the part where they said "another" run. Meaning they are hitting different cities they didn't already go through the list last time. I just farted

Exodus should do their own tour so I don't have to go to this to see them.

Ditch Black Anal Society and their fat wanna-be biker fans, have Exodus and Anthrax co-headline, and get a good opener like Stormruler or Uada on there and this would rule.

This would be an awesome tour if all the bands were replaced by better bands.

Ditch Black Anal Society and their fat wanna-be biker fans, have Exodus and Anthrax co-headline, and get a good opener like Stormruler or Uada on there and this would rule. Agreed, but BLS remains a solid draw somehow.

I'd rather listen to a reunited skrewdriver with Kanye singing than be in a sex offender registries required radius of black label society.

anonymous 11/3/2022 11:40:31 AM

Will Garth Brooks be there? 🤣

Zakk Wylde and Robb Flynn are the same in the sense that if they just calmed tf down and eased up on the "WIKKED METTAL ATTITOOD" that they project (which seems entirely predicated on what 12-year-olds think is cool about metal), people might respect them more. The music would still be pure cheese for sure, but they'd at least have the weight of being absolute obvious tryhards 100% of the time lifted off of their shoulders.

Eddie Trunk here. Since my musical taste hasn't evolved since 1992, I'm totally psyched for this tour.
