The Kansas City teenage trio Hammerhedd released a new music video for their single "Tunnel" just days before they set out on tour with In Flames.
The band shared:
We wrote this song about a year ago while listening to The Police nonstop. There's Stewart Copeland-influenced drums, a few Andy Summers-type chord shapes, and a Sting-style bass riff in the midsection. Aside from that, we (as usual) took heavy influence from Tool, Meshuggah, Mastodon, etc… the gods of the newer generation of metal, as well as the classics; Rush, Zeppelin, Floyd, etc.
We like to think we put these influences together in a way that sounds new, fresh, and uniquely Hammerhedd. We're looking forward to playing this song every night on our upcoming run with In Flames!
Born Of Osiris has been replaced by Upon a Burning Body.

It's derivative, they wear their influences on their sleeves (mainly Meshuggah) but damn they can fking play. This will be a very interesting band in the future

f*ck everybody talking shit about these kids. They're awesome, and it's crazy to see the bassist look like an adult and not a super young child. This band has been, and will continue to be great, as long as they don't go full on prima Donna and let it go to their heads. That said, "Defund the Police-inspired teenage band." This shit made me lol

^ Judge all you want, but plenty of underaged girls actively seek out older men to teach them the bases. I have no issue with taking out a 14-17 year old high school girl, paying for a movie and dinner, but at the very least, I expect to feel for morning dew inside her panties and teach her how to bob for apples.
