Dance Gavin Dance issue new statement, removed from Coheed and Cambria tour
What was supposed to be a triumphant summer for Dance Gavin Dance has been scuttled by a spring of misery.
In April, longtime bassist Tim Feerick passed away unexpectedly. Several weeks later, sexual misconduct allegations surfaced against singer and most visible DGD member, Tilian Pearson, who subsequently took a leave of absence from the band to address his problems. Today, in the wake of the revelations about Pearson, Coheed and Cambria officially removed DGD from their summer tour (see below).
With the release of their new album, Jackpot Juicer, fast approaching, Dance Gavin Dance are hoping fans are still firmly in their corner.
This afternoon the group issued the following statement via social media:
"We worked very hard on this album and are incredibly proud of it. We will start promoting its release again this week. There will be videos, promo photos, and upcoming magazine features with both Tim and Tilian. You have a choice in what you support, purchase and listen to. We hope that you still choose to support us.
"Dance Gavin Dance is a strong, resilient group—and though these past few months have broken our hearts and frustrated us to no end, we will continue with the album release, with the touring, and then after that, go work on the next one. We do it for the fans who appreciate it and because it's what we are all passionate about."

To be fair, this wouldn't make a difference to the draw and the guarantee for DGD is across this board. Coheeds management doesn't want smoke so they had as easy out with this situation and the agent will stick someone else in place

Good morning fellas, Craig Golias of Tim Lambesis wedding fame here. Just wanted to drop in and say i cant wait for the new album. I support Dancin Gavin, but will still try to catch the Cohead and Cumbria show when it comes to my local venue. It's safe to say a lot of people here had to do a lot of soul searching and make some tough decisions. T's & P's to all parties involved.
