Deftones recruit ex-Marilyn Manson bassist Fred Sablan

Deftones kicked off their U.S. tour last night (Thursday, April 14) in Portland, Oregon and currently occupying the recently-vacated bassist position is former Marilyn Manson bass player, Fred Sablan.

Longtime Deftones bassist Sergio Vega announced his departure from the band last month.

Whether Sablan remains a touring member or joins the group on a more permanent basis remains to be seen.

Lol these guys can't even be bothered to put in the most minimal amount of effort

carveyournamein 125 days ago

But can anyone confirm if the Deftones are okay?

anonymous 125 days ago

"On a more permanent bassist."

carveyournamein 36 minutes ago But can anyone confirm if the Deftones are okay? This. We need to know the whereabouts and safety of them. They are more important than regular people

Just have the DJ guy fill in the bass parts with a beat machine for crying out loud.

literally no one likes deftones except people on Lg

A downgrade from Sergio Vega probably being paid less than Sergio & not considered a permanent member like Sergio. Deftones are the independent contractor hirer of bands. Maricon pendejo Chino!

anonymous 125 days ago

Clearly, Sergio was not considered permanent.

"Eh, just ask each of Manson's previous 25 bass players and pick the guy who will do it cheapest." SUCH AN INSPIRED CHOICE.

I could never get into deftones because of all the slap bass.

anonymous 118 days ago

E-Town Concrete is from New Jersey and gives the state an extremely BAD Name.-there has been a plethora of great bands from the garden state.(Endeavor-Major Burns-Human Remains-Burnt By The Sun-basically any band Not affiliated with Back to Basics Records.)
