Ghost's new album 'Impera' debuts at No. 2 on Billboard 200 chart
Ghost scored the largest sales week of any album in 2022.
Impera, the latest studio album from Swedish rock band Ghost, has debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart after moving roughly 70,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release in the United States. The outing tallied 62,500 copies in traditional sales, the largest sales week of any album thus far released in 2022.
Meanwhile, Impera is the highest-charting rock album on the Billboard 200 in nearly eight months (John Mayer debuted at No. 2 in July 2021).
Ghost's previous album, 2018's Prequelle, landed at No. 3 on the aforementioned chart after tallying 66,000 equivalent album units in its debut week.
