Official press release:
Today, Scowl shares their latest single, "Seeds To Sow," off their upcoming LP, How Flowers Grow out November 19th on Flatspot Records. The new song explores a more melodic, old-school punk-meets-rock style sound that is still brimming with the youthful hardcore energy the band exemplifies. The vocals are charmingly catchy, accompanied by a rock n' roll saxophone line that carries the tune in a completely unexpected way. The video wouldn't look out of place on the big screen - a clever throwback to a bygone era that captures a sense of nostalgia and fun.
Speaking on the track, vocalist Kat Moss states: "I love this song. I had no expectations going into recording it as it was supposed to be strictly instrumental— but at the very end of recording we kinda just went for it. I messed around with some of my lyrics from the title track and basically wrote a prelude. I loved hearing that kinda thing on a record growing up, I always felt like it tied everything together and was almost a sort of musical 'fourth wall break'. I love to sing but had zero expectations for recording my singing voice, it was just a lot of fun."

Post Comment"a sort of musical 'fourth wall break'." jfc you pretentious buttbag
This band is using hardcore as a stepping stone. LOL @ Ace Stallings from Mutually Assured Destruction likening them to Blondie.
Hipstercore. Nice flowers & dresses Kat 😂😂😂 Oh I get it...that but they're hardcore yo.
The same dudes who are "hardcore" are the same dudes into Pokémon and that my friends proved you are definitely gay
Singer was pretty hot in this video but TF is with the rest of the dudes in the band skinhead cosplaying? Is skinhead LARPing a thing in hardcore now? Hope these dudes don't run into any woods lmfao. Can't picture that going well for them at all.
I got some seed for her alright 😏" ^^^ I will after this month is over. No Nut November fam.
This sounds like alternative ska me no likely. However the singer is fine af.
The vocals are charmingly catchy Yeah. This is something I want to read/listen to on a metal message board.
Garbage. Weren't they a hardcore/punk band? I only know from videos being shared, but yeah hardcore will never be a stepping stone. Get the f*ck out this is not your home
Is everything supposed to sound out of tune? Is everything about this intentional or are they really that lazy with the writing? Also why do they sound like the band Garbage
greeaaaaat another they/them band. get a real gender you f*cking losers.
Donnny Diablo here aka Lord Ezec. Couldn't find a singer for Skarhead so i just used my manager
Wow, this was really great! It made me want to grab my boyfriend and hop on over to the hippest new craft brewery in town and share a delicious, and not at all disgusting, IPA!
I hope they got release forms for those farmers they videoed so they can make some money off this band.
Scowl, Bib, Gag, Gumm, Gel, Spy — one worded fun hardcore! Yay!
At least gag is hard. Bib and all that other shit is hardcore for kids who don't listen to actual hardcore.
