Slipknot pay tribute to founding members Joey Jordison and Paul Gray at Knotfest

At the end of their headlining set this past Saturday (September 25) at Knotfest Iowa, Slipknot honored founding members Joey Jordison and Paul Gray.

Joey Jordison died this past summer while Gray passed away in 2010.

The tribute took place directly after the band closed out their set with "Surfacing," a track written by Jordison and Gray along with Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor. While the group remained on stage and fireworks lit up the night sky, two large video screens displayed a photo of each member along with their birth year, death year, and assigned number in Slipknot.

Fan filmed footage of the moment can be viewed here:

I remember seeing them in 2005. After the show I let Joey use his kick pedal on my testicles. R.I.P.

LOL @ Slipknot acting like they give a f*ck about Joey. Threw him to the dirt when he was an addict. Let him rot until he died. f*ck em.

1 and 2 are dead. I'd be very concerned if I were 3.
