Live Nation to require vaccination or negative test for all shows
A week after announcing that they would allow artists to dictate vaccination policies for their respective concerts, Live Nation has changed course and will now require all performers, crew, and attendees to show proof of full vaccination (or a negative test) at their shows, venues, and festivals starting in early October.
“Vaccines are going to be your ticket back to shows, and as of October 4th we will be following the model we developed for Lollapalooza and requiring this for artists, fans and employees at Live Nation venues and festivals everywhere possible in the US,” explained Live Nation president and CEO Michael Rapino in a statement Friday.
The move parallels the latest policy installment from fellow concert giant AEG, who announced earlier this week that all concertgoers and staff would need to be vaccinated prior to attending their events.
