Slipknot release Joey Jordison statement and tribute video

Slipknot have put forth a statement and tribute video regarding founding drummer Joey Jordison, who passed away earlier this week at 46.

The video can be found below, while the statement reads as follows:

"Our hearts go out to Joey’s family and loved ones at this time of tremendous loss. Joey Jordison’s art, talent, and spirit could not be contained or be held back. Joey’s impact on Slipknot, on our lives, and on the music that he loved, is incalculable. Without him there would be no us. We mourn his loss with the entire Slipknot family. We love you, Joey."

Then why they kick him out of the band

anonymous 7/30/2021 1:24:38 PM

If you loved him so much why didn't you send him to rehab rather then kick him out? You kicked him out cause you could. The band is huge and could have anyone in the world on drums so you didn't care.

Vax kills

I went to hot topic and became a metal head

anonymous 7/30/2021 2:26:41 PM

I'm willing to bet that Corey Taylor came up with that official statement lmao

He didn't have a drug problem, he had some rare neurological disorder that took away his ability to play drums for a time. They jumped to conclusions and it's sad cause now they'll never get to reconcile with him.

I once farted for a continuous 45 seconds. Called a doctor and he congratulated me.

anonymous 7/30/2021 4:20:41 PM

Went back and listened to these guys after not hearing them for years and yup, still terrible.

anonymous 7/30/2021 4:37:12 PM

Keep denying that the band was the source of drug problems for so many of the members. How successful can a band be when so many members or their family members died as a direct result of the drugs, lifestyle, not being there for their kids.

If masks make red states so mad, why do they worship a band that's been wearing masks for the last 20 years?

carveyournamein 7/30/2021 7:46:03 PM

I don't know. Are you asking me?

Pilgrim 7/30/2021 11:22:42 PM

Cool vid no one watched. Way to capitalize on a death

@carve Did you know the WHO released a study in 2014 that linked carbon dioxide exposure while under influence of opiates to acute transverse myelitis? And confirmed in 2017? That's the same condition Jordison had. Why? Because he was wearing a mask for hours night after night while breathing hard and taking medication for his back pain. Fast forward to 2019. WHO committed led by Chinese nationalists are looking for a way to weaken America. Knowing that Americans are dealing with an opioid epidemic, they knew if they could force exposure to carbon dioxide they could weaken Americans. So they invented COVID 19 to force people to wear masks. People DO NOT get sick and die from COVID. They get sick and die from wearing masks while on opioid prescriptions from acute transverse myelitis! Rising CO2 levels from Chinese climate change make the matter worse but that's a future problem.

carveyournamein 7/31/2021 6:47:59 AM

Alright.

anonymous 7/31/2021 7:13:49 AM

Addiction, physiological disorders and people who really weren't his friends led to this sad situation.

anonymous 7/31/2021 7:20:40 AM

Agree, Corey built a culture that REQUIRED masks. Even if they were practicing and doing interviews they would wear the mask. When research started emerging about the link between ATM and opioids they could have done something about it, like STOP REQUIRING MEMBERS TO WEAR MASKS. People think Corey is some sort of god but he has blood on his hands

anonymous 7/31/2021 7:29:03 AM

I'm not seeing the link between ass to mouth and opioids.

anonymous 7/31/2021 8:25:13 AM

why didn't they do a tribute to paul gray too?

anonymous 7/31/2021 9:00:05 AM

" I'm not seeing the link between ass to mouth and opioids." I guess you learned how to be an asshole from Corey Taylor. Same dismissive attitude and the reason why Joey is now dead. Nobody gave him the time of day and just kicked him out after making some jokes. f*ck that. f*ck you.

anonymous 7/31/2021 12:03:32 PM

f*ck me? f*ck you. f*ck hardcore

anonymous 7/31/2021 12:21:39 PM

Lmao the anti masker comment has me rolling. When are the right wing gonna die already?

anonymous 7/31/2021 1:15:20 PM

ask Corey taylor, obviously he knows because he is killing them

anonymous 7/31/2021 3:31:13 PM

You right wing jagoffs are insane.

anonymous 8/1/2021 12:15:14 AM

Paul was banging H with James dewees before he passed and then James got kicked out of my chem and the get up kids for his behavior. These guys were found drugs for years and Joey was another causality

anonymous 8/1/2021 8:40:08 AM

imagine making $35k a year playing for one of the biggest bands in the world, then blowing it all on H and trying to pass it off as some sort of "syndrome"

carveyournamein 8/1/2021 10:41:57 AM

Corey definitely wants everyone dead.

anonymous 8/1/2021 2:01:06 PM

Why can't anyone see this for what it is...a loss of a great heart and talent. Joey was my sons idol, the reason he stared playing...he's 9...I havent told him yet. On another not....the mask argument about it contributing to his illness. ...Joey had been out of slipknot for years..that argument is irrelevant..not only that but if you watch the video...there are plenty of documented interviews and practices ...no mask... plus most of the band members masks like joeys...has nose and mouth holes to vent...unlike the medical ones we are being forced to wear.... anyway back to what I was saying....take it for what it is...a terrible loss....taken too soon.. stop with all the judgements and let people mourn. Your not better then the rest of us...

earthpart20 8/1/2021 2:08:00 PM

threw him outta the band and now they're just trying to save face... their last good album was iowa (joey played on it) and they're been trash ever since.

anonymous 8/1/2021 5:34:59 PM

dis the band with the lead singer that made an album about how he does intimacy with his own mother? cmft rite?

anonymous 8/1/2021 8:26:02 PM

What did the beer keg player have to say?

anonymous 8/2/2021 6:47:33 AM

(Q):What did the beer keg player have to say? (A):"hope I can still get my twenty five dollar refund with the return of this battered ass Keg...It is more than I make nightly "playing" in Slipknot."

evil_hero 9/30/2021 10:07:44 AM

dude could smash on the kit

evil_hero 10/1/2021 7:39:11 AM
