Matt Traynor gives shoes to woman

Matt Traynor, co-founder and former drummer of Blessthefall, made the news this week in Arizona for a simple but thoughtful act of kindness.

Shortly after departing Blessthefall in 2018, Traynor became a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service and has delivered mail to the same neighborhood in Scottsdale, Arizona for roughly two years. Among his customers is an elderly woman with dementia who walks to the mailbox every day in the hopes of retrieving a letter from her daughter. On this particular day, however, the woman neglected to put on shoes before attempting to traverse the hot pavement to her mailbox.

Without missing a beat, Traynor removed his shoes and gave them to the woman to wear for her trip to the mailbox.

Traynor told FOX10, "she was very thankful. I didn't want her burning her feet. We were nearing summer temperatures already. It was hot and she felt comfortable in the shoes, she thought they were nice and comfy," Traynor added.

"I said, 'By the time I'm done delivering the mail, you'll be back at the house and I'll stop by and get them from you.' So I stopped by and met her at her garage and got them back," Traynor added.
